Lemon and Honey

August 8th, 2010

I woke up two days ago and since then I have been feeling worse and worse :faint: It started off as blocked nose and sinus pain. Then it moved to sinus headache, sinus congestion, runny nose and sneezing, OMG so much sneezing! I have been drinking so much lemon and honey tea! I don’t know if it is doing anything, but I keep drinking! That funny thing is that I can’t make the same tasting tea twice.

Deep Fryer

May 29th, 2010

So I went shopping today… I went out to get us a deep fryer :D I must admit that I have wanted one for a long time, just so that I could cook things like fried dim sims. Since up until today I have only been able to make steamed ones at home! But now that I have my deep fryer, yum, yum, yum:dance:

Tiffany Deep Fryer

Its just a Tiffany one, but that still cost me $48. But I’m happy with it. Its 2.5L which sounds big, but its not really. So I wont be going to crazy with deep frying all our dinners lol

I was so excited when I got it home, that I didn’t know what I wanted to cook in it first! :wow: So I had to think about i for a while, plus I had to go up to the shops to get some high temp oil to put in it. I was reading over the instruction book, which was pretty easy to read  and I got to the end and it had a table that showed you some foods that you can cook and at what temperature to cook them at. And that when I seen what I wanted to cook first… DONUTS!!

All I could think of was hot fresh jam donuts, so that is what we made ;) and boy were they yummy!!

Donuts

The only bad thing was that the recipe that I found ending up making about 50 donuts :o, not the “25″ it said it would make! 50 jam donuts is way to much for me and Troy to have, in fact I think its way to much for anyone to have! So what I’ve been spending the last 20 minuets on is cutting down the recipe measurements by 3, so it should make about 15 the next time we make them *cross my fingers*

Today ends my third week at my new job  I’m starting to really get the hang of the people and how they run things. I’ve worked in this kind of job before, but each place isĀ  little bit different. The thing that is most different is the lingo, which is going to take me a while to put into practice over what I’m used too.

Pudge turned 6 months last Sunday  He has developed this nasty habit of scratching into my carpet :x to wake me up in the morning because he is hungry! I’ve cut down his food but I guess he is not happy about that!
